Cinnamon Tea Has the Taste of the Season and Health Benefits

We love cinnamon for its health benefits. We also love the flavor. But at this time of year, it’s frequently in treats that undermine its positive attributes! As much as we love cookies, they won’t aid your blood sugar. We have shared cookie recipes that won’t upset your blood sugar, but they aren’t healthy. So today, we’re looking at a way to enjoy the flavor of cinnamon that isn’t just “not bad” but is downright healthy and beneficial: cinnamon tea!

Cinnamon is one of Glucocil’s ingredients because of its ability to reduce the liver’s sugar production and increase the body’s use of sugar. It’s excellent as a supplement ingredient! As a tea, you get the benefits plus a delicious spicy flavor. At this time of year, it’s a perfect treat and a way to help yourself steer clear of any baked goods you want to avoid. If you haven’t baked something yourself, or have already eaten many carbs during a day, you probably avoid Christmas cookies. But this tea allows you to enjoy the Christmassy flavor!

Tea can help you stay hydrated in winter. While many people think that dehydration is a summer problem, it’s easy to become dehydrated all year round. Without the physical sign of sweating, you might miss it and not feel as thirsty. While many people don’t crave the taste of plain water, when you’re drinking something delicious — like a tea — you’re are more likely to drink more and remain hydrated. So, while it’s not a benefit that’s specific to cinnamon tea alone, that’s a perk of this winter drink!

You can make cinnamon tea using a cinnamon stick from the supermarket, plus a regular tea bag and boiling water. That’s all you need! If you don’t have a cinnamon stick or can’t find them in the store this time of year, you can add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to a cup of tea. You can sweeten it with whatever you like. Then you can enjoy this taste of Christmas and know that you’re not only savoring the season but also helping your health!
