Five Holiday Cookies with Fewer Carbs!

‘Tis the season for holiday cookies! Cookies take a starring role in many winter holidays. The delicious carbs can remind us of the flavors of our childhood: iced sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, gingerbread and more! We’re all tempted to pick them up at the grocer's or order them from bakeries. Buying them is fast and easy at this time of year but ones from places like William Sonoma or Zabar's is just too expensive. Mass produced cookies from the market are much less costly but also contain things you might not want — artificial colors, flours that impact your blood sugar differently and more sugar than you can shake a stick at! When you read the label on the boxes, baking your own cookies starts being more and more attractive!

Today we’re going to share some lighter cookie recipes so you can enjoy the get-togethers without constantly worrying about your blood sugar. These recipes, while not exactly slimming, are gentler on your waistband and blood sugar than traditional recipes.
